Tuesday Women’s Study
There are opportunities for women to meet together every week for study, prayer, and fellowship. These classes meet Tuesday mornings (10:00 a.m.) and Tuesday evenings (6:30 p.m.), and are facilitated by Candy Magee, who has been involved in this ministry since the beginning of Exeter Presbyterian in 1994. Each September a new section of the Bible or a book of general discipleship interest is studied and continues through the month of June. Participants are encouraged to read the specified chapter and come prepared to ask questions and join in the discussion. All women of EPC and their friends and neighbors are invited to attend. Contact Candy Magee (603-772-9442) for more details.
Bible Survey Class
Pastor Steve Magee facilitates a Bible Class which meets Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. and Thursdays at 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. from September through May at the church. We study the entire Bible in a four-year rotation and offer the same study at both hours. Join at any point in the cycle and stay for as long as you would like. Everyone is welcome, and there is no homework. Contact Steve Magee (603-772-7479) for more details.
Elder Dave Herrod leads a discussion class from 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. every Thursday afternoon at the church during the months of September through May. Everyone is welcome, and there is no homework. The general topic of the class is theology, literally “the study of God.” Unlike the Bible Survey Class which works its way through the various parts of the Bible from beginning to end, the Theology Class considers the question, “What does the whole Bible teach us about a given topic?” In the class’ first year that topic was the basic principles of Christianity. The next year the class decided to read and discuss the book Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis. This year we are working through a wonderful book about the Psalms of Ascent by Eugene Peterson called A Long Obedience in the Same Direction. At the end of each “school year,” Dave and the class decide on topics and/or books for the following year. Contact Dave Herrod (603-772-5365) for more details.
Church Family Meal
We have a Family Meal once a month from September through June which usually takes place on the first Sunday of the month after the morning worship service. These meals are a good time of fellowship and help us get to know each other; everyone is welcome to stay after the service and join us!
Have you suffered the loss of a loved-one? Would you find it helpful to walk this painful road with others who have experienced loss and who share your faith? We have grief support groups starting from time to time based on need. Please let us know by contacting Candy Magee (603-772-9442) or Steve Magee (603-772-7479, email@example.com). It would be our privilege to share the journey of grief with you.
